What is this plan?

The purpose of this plan is to provide general guidelines for preparation, response, and recovery to natural and manmade events that endanger the patients, visitors, staff, and family members of medical healthcare facilities within the region. This plan describes how medical and healthcare facilities within the region collectively mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the effects of an emergency or disaster. It also addresses the types of services and resources that are provided in certain situations. This plan outlines methods for assisting the staff of healthcare facilities within the region to deal with effects of disasters. It does not replace local, county, or facility plans and procedures.
